CUT. - 01.2018 - MOZART blades partner information

Dear MOZART friends and business partners.

Success literally overran us in 2017 - unfortunately with some unpleasant effects on our delivery times and thus on you, our customers. In the strongest year in our history, we broke the € 14 million turnover mark for the first time. In some production areas, we’ve had an increase in sales of over 40%. For us initially not foreseeable, the upward trend of recent years had even accelerated. As far as possible, we responded to this with an expansion of our production capacities, but this capacity increase was literally "eaten up" during the year due to the enormous demand.

We regret that our delivery times were sometimes considerably longer than usual. By investing heavily in 2018, we have set the course for a further significant increase in our output and expect tangible improvements for the second half of the year.

For your understanding, your patience, your support and your loyalty we would like to thank all our customers!
Christian Klein, Sales Director - Peter Kamper, International Sales Manager

New style packaging for 3-hole and slotted blades

Over the course of time we have been asked many times to come up with a smart solution for smaller SKUs, presenting 3-hole and slotted blades. We listened carefully and here is our solution:

We created a new 10-pack dispenser, following the same style of blade box you already know from our cutter and styro blades. Of course we adjusted the box to the dimensions of the 2 blade styles. Using the same set-back opening mechanism ensures a safe handling and avoids accidently opening the dispenser.

The master packs have also been newly designed being a hanging MOZART 100-pack with a clear marking of blade geometry, part number and EAN code. Furthermore the new 100-packs feature a tear open part on the side to take out one 10-pack at a time, you might have seen that same principle for our hanging hook, straight and cutter blade packs.Sounds interesting? Please feel free to contact us to receive more information and your quote.

BIG IN JAPAN

Some like it colorful - so also Mozart's Japanese distributor for craft blades "Hiroshima Corporation" from Osaka. The team around Kazuhiko San has relied on Mozart's uncompromising quality for more than 15 years - this fits exactly the demand for perfection of Japanese customers . Probably that’s why Mozart's new S2 universal knife is such a great success in Japan.

INSIDE.

“Change of guards“ at MOZART’s sales department.

In November 2017 an era came to an end: After 48 years our colleague Jürgen Glückselig started a new period of his life and retired from his job at MOZART’s. We wish him good luck, health and fun for this new chapter.

Already at the age of 15 Mr. Glückselig started his apprenticeship at MOZART, followed by some years in the sales department and with our purchasing team. Fortunately he decided to return to sales and to work at the “frontline”. Over the many years to follow he became a trusted, sovereign and competent partner of our customers as well as an appreciated colleague for everyone at MOZART’s.

We have been fortunate to hire Philipp Hahn as his successor; he took over Jürgen Glückselig’s customers and responsibilities after being thoroughly trained for several weeks. It’s great to have him in our team and we wish him success and fun for his new occupation!

MOZART in Turkish.

Mozart's tremendous growth in recent years is, not least, the result of our activities in numerous emerging markets. One of these markets is Turkey. Together with our local representative Ikiler, we were able create enthusiasm of a broad and growing customer base for the quality of our blades. To better inform our customers, especially with regard to the selection of suitable blades using the search function, the Turkish version of the Mozart website has recently been launched. İyi çalışmalar!

MOZART point of sale.

Does this scenario sound familiar: Almost everywhere blades are stored well hidden somewhere in the back of the store or under the counter, making sure that the customer doesn’t "accidently" see and buy them…

Understandably there is the danger of theft as well as the fact that in the past blade packs where everything but attractive. Nevertheless it’s almost unavoidable that potential blades sales are not made because the customer forgets to ask for blades and needs to buy them somewhere else later on. Let’s make a change!

Over the last 12 months we have introduced a complete POS compatible line of blade packs, covering all hook, straight, cutter, 3-hole and scraper blades. Also we offer every one of our handles ready for POS, in some cases even offering a haptic handle access for the customer, being able to experience the quality and ergonomics of our MOZART knifes.

Every pack is clearly marked with a blade conture, part numbers and EAN codes. Also we added some smart features like the tear opening part on the pack’s side, allowing access to a single 10-pack dispenser.

We feel that our partners now have the tools to present the MOZART product range to their customers in a professional, uniform and structured way.Sounds interesting? We’ll be pleased to work out the transition of your current MOZAERT range to a POS compatible line of product.
