Together with the Supervisory Board of MOZART AG, Sebastian Schlipköter launched one of the largest investment packages in the company's history.
In almost all areas of production, machines and systems are added, replaced, converted or expanded. This important step will make us fit for the future, provide additional capacities for our growth and continuously work on our claim of quality leadership.
This year alone we will replace 2 stamping presses, followed by investments in separating units and grinding machines. The route is calculated, we are on our way!

Just in time for the New Year - Mozart Webshop launched Selected products from the Mozart range can now also be ordered via our new webshop. This means that smaller and non-commercial customers with smaller requirements now also have the opportunity to order conveniently directly from Mozart - without any annoying details such as proof of trade and minimum order value.
Last but not least, Mozart's webshop takes into account the increasing popularity of buying by mouse click. The clearly laid out shop stocks products from the application areas of handicrafts, precision cutting and hobbies as well as film and foils, including snap-off blades, precision knives and three-hole blades.

Good bye, I'll call it a day then!Quietly and without much fuss, our colleague Dr. Christoph Wahl said goodbye and started his well-deserved retirement on January 1, 2022.
As Technical Director, Christoph Wahl has accompanied MOZART AG and the Schlipköter family for almost 3 decades and has always been a level-headed companion who guided the company's technical projects with a steady hand. With his universal knowledge and sharp mind, he has repeatedly challenged us and encouraged us to come up with unconventional solutions. For our customers, he was also a well-versed contact person for demanding technical tasks.
At the same time, Christoph Wahl was always a creative spirit who combined technical competence with design skills and thereby produced innovative technical solutions and products, such as the now legendary Mozart trimming knife.
His successor Dr. Thorsten Birk has been accompanied by Dr. Wahl in the first few months of his time at Mozart’s, so that the current projects and a lot of knowledge was handed over to good hands as planned over the course of the last year. We wish Christoph Wahl good health and happiness in his retirement and lots of joy in his hometown of Freiburg with his friends and his family!

Trade fair or not trade fair - that is now the question!"Planning security" is certainly not a term one associates with the organization of trade fairs at the moment. While in the last two years most of the fairs were cancelled and postponed due to the pandemic, one had hoped for improvement this year. It seems that the reaction to new virus variants initially put a spanner in the works, which is why such important trade fairs with regular Mozart participation as the "Domotex" in Hanover were cancelled and the "Hardware Fair" in Cologne was postponed.
As a result, Mozart's trade fair calendar for this year has naturally been thinned out and is currently as follows (subject to change due to the pandemic situation - in accordance with the modified Hamlet quotation from the headline):
ICE Europe, Munich - 15-17.03.2022
The leading international trade fair for paper, film and foil converting. We look forward to seeing you in Hall A5, Stand 1844.
Hardware Fair, Cologne - 25-28.09.2022
The international meeting place for the tool and hardware industry - postponed from March to September in 2022, after last year's cancellation. Let's hope it stays that way!
K, Düsseldorf - 19-26.10.2022
The world's leading trade fair for the plastics industry - traditionally an important showcase for Mozart in the areas of slitting/converting and manual plastics processing (deburring etc.).
Whether it will remain so is currently unclear - or, again in the words of Shakespeare (but correctly this time): "The time is out of joint"...

A new home for 30 million bladesIn times of fragile supply chains and capacity bottlenecks in the transport sector, the ability to deliver is becoming increasingly important. We recognized these challanges early on and designed a new blade store and put it into operation at the end of 2021. Thanks to a storage system with special transport containers developed for MOZART, we were able to significantly increase our storage capacity. We currently store around 30 million blades for our customers.
In addition to the increased capacity, the new blade storage also enables quick access to the type of blade required without having to move pallets or move heavy blade packs manually beforehand. This speeds-up the packing process enormously, guarantees the FIFO process logistically and also reduces the physical strain on our colleagues in the warehouse and in shipping.
